This bunting design came direct from the customer, I did absolutely nothing! She asked for denim and she asked for yellows and oranges for the lettering. So bingo! Here it is. And I happened to have the little felt stars in reds, oranges and yellows, so I added those as well. And I absolutely love it. So vibrant and perfect for a little boy's bedroom. And this is what Luca's mum had to say, "Thank you so much for all the work you put into it, it is lovely and has been beautifully made & I will pass your details onto all my friends. xAmi" Thanks Ami!!!...

Yeah, I know I'm not great at the embroidery, but it's legible right? And I love the idea that you can add a little personal message to the bunting, especially if it's being given as a gift for a christening. I so want one of those embroidery machines though!! My spidery handwriting embroidery takes me forever to do!...

Cath Kidston vintage cars teamed up with the stone stars. Very cute combo for a little boy's nursery. Or a big boy's office perhaps!!!...

It really seems like we've had tonnes of bank holidays recently - not that I'm complaining! And of course, there'll be another one coming up on June 5th for Her Majesty the Queen! Apparently, there are more Jubilee street parties registering than there were for the Royal Wedding. So if you're planning something, or if like us, there's a little bit of a quiet competition going on on your street to deck the front of your house out with union jack bunting, then look no further! Union Jack bunting on sale through My Bunting, but with a lovely vintage floral fabric style, which will really stand ou...

Lovely colours for a neutral nursery and I was asked to include two little teddy bears either end. I love making these padded letters, but each letter is cut out by hand and it's entirely hand stitched. So as you can imagine, it takes me forever to make! So fiddly, especially when you've got to stuff little teddy bear arms!...

Adorable little wooden garlands to be used as wedding decorations. They’re in white, but I reckon you could easily paint them if you wanted them to match your wedding colour scheme.

Little wooden letters and hearts which stretch about 90 cms.

£4.50 including postage and as always message me for orders or questions – lucy@mybunting.co.uk!

Well now that our wedding is in the past and we’ve had the honeymoon and I’ve written all the thank you cards and I’ve got the dress dry-cleaned… weddings are pretty much out of my system! Well almost…. I still love looking at some great wedding pics. And the new Mrs Verguld sent me this of her wedding marquee complete with the bunting I made her. She’s actually hung the bunting against some purple netting and I know that that is in the colour of her bridesmaids and it really makes the bunting stand out against the background. I really hope they both had a wonderful day! xxx

I made these for a friend of mine from work for her wedding that was at the amazing Stoke Rochford Hall in Lincolnshire. A beautiful and really elegant wedding and Clare had the most stunning dress – at the back it had a lovely low rolled back that sort of gathered together into her train. I’m really not explaining it well, but it was stunning.

Anyway, here was my attempt at some equally elegant bunting. I made one length for the top table that read Clare & James and then I made a couple more plain lengths so that Clare could add them hither and thither in the venue. I think she said she was going to add them to the front of the bar. And for this… and hopefully it proved useful. The flowers were those hairclip flowers you can buy and I added the lace after. So the plan was that Clare could sellotape them to whatever was to hand and then the hairclips were removable, so she could then clip them into place to hide the sellotape! It seemed like a genius plan and let’s hope it was!!

For a white wedding!

I was so panicked making this bunting. How on earth do wedding dress makers cope? I pricked my finger and I nearly threw the letters across the sitting room so I didn’t get blood on it! Now that wouldn’t do would it! A lovely white length of bunting with red polka dots of my blood on it!!

Okay, so it’s not the best title for a blog ever, but I couldn’t think of anything else!!

Well, this is for a lady after my own heart. I’m not sure if I asked her if her dogs were going to be bridesmaids at her own wedding, but I hope so!

And here’s my table plan board. All the cards are held on by little wooden pegs and I’ve decorated it with flowers and ladybirds.

No doubt I’ll become a wedding-bore really quickly, but I have some amazing memories of the day and some fantastic photos to share, courtesy of my very artistic friends!

These are the wedding signs I made to point the way and I collected tonnes of jam jars and filled them with tea lights and dotted them around the garden.

We finally did it!

We had an absolutely amazing day. I don’t think the stupid grin came off my face all day. Just amazing and so overwhelming.
