Inspired by a great shopping trip to Lincoln today, I’d love to make some bunting using some big ole buttons! So let me know if anyone fancies commissioning me to make some for themselves! Available from bitsandbats.com based in Bradford.

Lovely lady Jane at Poppies Paraphenalia on ebay stocks loads of lovely Cath Kidston fabrics along with lampshades, cushions, curtains… ooh and some lovely roman blinds that I have my eye on for the new kitchen. Jan has an ebay shop, so take a look here….

It might say something about me, but I went to this website and the first thing I saw were the words ‘Giant Cupcake!’ and they had me hooked!! I made some bunting for Hayley for a wedding fayre to decorate her stall and this is what she makes. Gorgeous looking cupcakes for weddings and birthdays or… perhaps just to celebrate the fact it’s Friday?! Any excuse for cupcakes I always say!

I absolutely don’t mind in the slightest if customers choose their own fabric. They can either say ‘I want that one’ and send me a link or they can send me the material in the post. Anyway, Edwina asked me to buy this combo of fabrics and they’re lovely… proper deckchair bunting!
And Edwina gave me great feedback!
“Hi Lucy,
The bunting arrived today! I have just finished putting it up – it is utterly fantastic! It really is such beautiful quality and more perfect than I could have imagined.
Thank you so much for all your help and your speed. I shall recommend you to everyone I know!
Best wishes and many thanks again,
Edwina”

Oh and if you’re interested, this gorgeous fabric came from Norfolk Textiles, who stock Clarke & Clarke fabrics.

Planning a vintage wedding? Well take a look here for inspiration! I love Anne-Marie’s photos. They’re so vintage, so delicate, so antiquey looking! These are handmade bespoke bouquets made from material! Absolutely stunning. And unlike my bouquet that I had to throw out yesterday – whoops wasn’t I supposed to keep a rose from it to dry out as a keepsake? Should I rescue it from the bin? Anyway, Anne-Marie’s beautiful bouquets are the perfect keepsake!

Well, we’re all caring and sharing on the t’interweb aren’t we, so here’s a little link sharing!
My talented mother has just launched a website. Well, when I say she’s launched a website, what I really mean is that she’s sat back and let my equally talented boyfriend build her a website!! And it’s ready!
It’s completely different to bunting, so forgive me if it’s not of interest, but hopefully there’ll be some teachers out there reading this! It’s a resource site for original drama scripts for primary and secondary school, including duologues, quartets, humorous poems, choral speaking and school assemblies. They’re ideal for drama festivals – especially if you’re tired with the same old scripts that seem to do the rounds every year and for LAMDA examinations.
Hope you like it!

I adore this website! If you’re planning a wedding, then definitely take a look at this website. This is completely how I’d have my tables for my wedding…. if I’m ever asked! The Vintage Teapot was set up to provide a vintage tea party feel to wedding receptions. All mismatched, eclectic and beautiful vintage china tea cups, tea pots and cake stands. It’s all just adorable. And for a wedding fayre in Lincoln, I made them some personalised bunting in gorgeous floral Cath Kidston fabric… with of course… little teapots!

Two lovely ladies got in touch with me recently as they launched a new website called ‘Save The Date’ - it’s a beautiful website and magazine with all-things wedding! Lots of ideas to inspire you for your big day, including a very generous plug for my bunting!! Thanks Abbi and Lydia, I really hope your website is successful!!
